Digital Age, Consciously-Connecting phase. Where are we at? Socially and personally?
Who am I? What am I becoming? We are all points of potentiality in this vast network we call life. Like all neurons are equally important, no one single point of human-matter is more important than another.
We've all heard of the masked, caped super-hero- but did we ever think to become the hero? S/He/They live within us all. The Alter-Egos that dwell within our hearts are restless- it's time to set them free.
Join Shadow Sistxrs Fight Club at Mimosa House to engage in a journey of self discovery, un-covering and honouring the hero within. Learn Self-Defence and Herbalism in a step towards becoming the super hero you always wanted to be, but, maybe, didn't know you could become.
We invite you to bring a photo of yourself, a momento, a crystal, anything that represents YOU, to place on the ALTAR of the ALTER-EGO.
We're all heroes in training. Let's connect.
Shadow Sistxrs Fight Club is a physical and meta-physical self defence class for women, non binary people and QTIPoC, combining Brazilian JuJitsu and magical/medicinal herbalism to create a holistic approach to self defence. Through community ritual and collective healing, the energy created at SSFC is powerful and creative. Shadow Sistxrs Fight Club is run by Ayesha Tan-Jones and Monique Etienne.
This event is free and open to women, non binary people and QTIPoC. You can book your place here, and we are prioritising PoC bookings until Monday when the other tickets will be released.
This event is part of our current exhibition, Alter Heroes Coalition, and is supported by Arts Council England.
