A discussion with Adelaide Cioni and authors of her book Jennifer Higgie and Ilaria Puri Purini, moderated by Habda Rashid.

On the occasion of Adelaide’s new book published by Mousse Publishing.

Jennifer Higgie is an Australian writer who lives in London.  Her books The Mirror & The Palette: Rebellion, Resilience and Resistance: 500 Years of Women’s Self Portraits (2021) and The Other Side: A Journey into Women, Art and the Spirit (2023) are published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson. She also writes screenplays.

Dr Ilaria Puri Purini is a curator and art historian interested in research-led, performative practices that stand accross the visual arts and craft. She currently works at the Contemporary Art Society and previously held curatorial roles at the V&A and Tate Modern.

Habda Rashid is the Senior Curator Contemporary & Modern Art working across the Fitzwilliam Museum and Kettle’s Yard to research new perspectives on the collections in their global contexts and identify new acquisitions to better represent the diversity of British art in the 20th and 21st centuries.
