Marikiscrycrycry (UK/USA) considers choreography as a tool to suggest ulterior and subversive critiques of an otherwise phobic and unaccommodating world. Their performances emphasise the necessity to proliferate pro-Queer and pro-Black aesthetics under neoliberal hegemonies. They have performed their work in various venues across the UK, USA, and Canada, and have been supported by Arts Council England, Canadian Council for the Arts, a-n, Fierce Festival, Hackney Showroom, Chisenhale Dance Space, Live Art Development Agency, Studio 303, and Marlborough Theatre. http://maliknashadsharpe.com.

Part of our Queer Futures public programme and exhibition exploring narratives for queer resistance, from mythology and folklore to speculative science fiction. The programme will include performances, screenings, discussions and workshops and each event will leave a contribution in the space to form a gradually expanding archive.
